The chocolate in here resembles layers of mountainous terrain (think Grand Canyon), but melts to a beautiful smooth rich texture as in the photo above. The very high cocoa content contains the many antioxidants dark chocolate is known for. It's a new flavor experience in that it is from a single varietal bean from a region in Peru. The way the cocoa beans are dried (these were sun dried) and the region gives it a particular taste. It is totally unsweetened, so you can melt it & cover sweet foods such as banana slices. Put them in the freezer to harden for great snacks, dip sweet cookies or add to too sweet foods to balance the flavors. It's perfect for making your own confections such as "puddles" (drops of chocolate that form into round flat forms). Warm the chocolate (it melts easily on a double boiler or microwave), add your own amount and type of sweetener and top it with one of our beautiful huge pecans. Add a dash of the included cinnamon and voila! Great for molé type sauces. |

If you like your chocolate with a twist of orange every so often, you'll love this new flavor nut butter.We've added a natural valentia orange oil to our yummy chocolate almond butter to make a livelier chocolate. It's still a predominent almond butter, but with a little more jazz. It's a great compliment to hot cereal, great for baking in your brownies, making cookies, smoothies, topping on ice cream, pancakes/waffles...
