All of our nut or seed butters are gluten-free foods. Our products are a great tasting and nutritious alternative for those on gluten free diets. They are rich in protein, vitamins and minerals, and low in saturated fat. They contain no added salt, sugar, oils or preservatives.
Gluten free diets are required for those people with celiac-spru disease or those allergic to wheat. Many people, (numbers have been said 1 in 100 of the population) are gluten sensitive. Gluten sensitivities are not just in the "gut". Many symptoms such as migraines, neuro and muscular problems can be attributed to this not so rare allergy. Those on a gluten free diet look for "plain" food, meaning unprocessed, no additives. They are safest with unadorned, untampered foods. We just ground our nuts, nothing is added. The nuts were grown with other nuts of their kind, no wheat fields (wheat contains gluten), barley fields etc. carried their affending allergens to our nut orchards.
Plain nut butters, veggies, beans and legumes are encouraged to provide excellent nutrition for those on gluten free diets. There are breads for those gluten sensitive and Futters Nut Butters go great with rice cakes but better yet, our nut butters go especially well with fruit and vegetables. Lettuce wraps with shredded veggies and nut butter replace sandwiches. Core an apple and fill the empty space with a nut butter of your choice and take it for lunch.
